Founding (1916): The unit was originally established as Troop 1 Kings Park.
Renumbering (1920s): Following a reorganization of the Suffolk County Council, the unit was officially designated as Troop 75.
First Eagle Scout (1943): In June 1943, David Lyon became the first member of the troop to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
Continuous Operation: The troop has been in continuous operation for over a century, providing scouting programs to thousands of local youth.
Eagle Scout Legacy: By its 100th anniversary in 2016, the troop had produced 80 Eagle Scouts, completing 80 distinct community service projects for the Kings Park area. In 2025, Troop 75 celebrated its 100th Eagle Scout.
Charter & Meeting Location: The troop is chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5796 and is hosted by the Lucien Memorial United Methodist Church.
